The Join

the New Deal drummer Darren Shearer and keyboard player Jamie Shields developed The JOIN - a musical unit that hosts a revolving door of musicians depending on what area of the world they're in as well as what show setting they find themselves a part of. The JOIN, has thrown down tours featuring Marc Brownstein & Aron Magner (the Disco Biscuits) and Tom Hamilton & Clay Parnell (Brothers Past), and in the end of 2007 with the Benevento/Russo Duo.

The New Deal's music, rooted in improvisation, is based on creating and developing actual songs and themes in the moment. This new project will allow them to spread their wings and share this creative ethic with other musicians from many disciplines and backgrounds.
