Salem County Fairgrounds has hosted the Delaware Valley Bluegrass Festival for over 40 years and the Salem County Fair for over 50 years. The surrounding community is used to the occasional influx of fans for these events. So that we abide by the wishes of the community and the Fairground owners, here are some guidelines that will keep everyone happy.

Festival Guidelines

Muddy River Jam Festival is an all ages, family-friendly event. The best way to experience the entire weekend is to come prepared to camp overnight Friday and Saturday. If you cannot camp, there is ample day-parking available. Here are some general guidelines for day visitors and campers.

Salem County Fairgrounds is a private 40-acre property located in Salem County, Woodstown, NJ. It is surrounded on four sides by pastures and woods and is home to a variety of music and other events throughout the year. It's located about 2 miles northwest from the center of Woodstown, NJ. We are pleased to join the select group of events held at Salem County Fairgrounds.

Festival Gate and Ticket Purchases

If you purchased your ticket(s) online your name will be on the Will Call list, and you will need a photo ID when you check in at the Front Gate. If you are concerned that we may not have your name on the Will Call list, bring a copy of the receipt you received after you purchased your ticket(s). If you purchased a printed ticket you must present it when you check in at the Front Gate. In either case you will be given a wristband or laminate upon check in.

On Friday, August 13 gates open at 12 Noon and remain open until 2 a.m. On Saturday, August 14 gates open at 9 a.m. and remain open until 2 a.m. If you did not purchase a $65 advance ticket a Weekend Festival Ticket at the Gate is $85. Tickets include tent camping. If you are arriving in an RV and wish to have electrical service there is a $20 hookup charge. Tickets for single-day attendance (Friday or Saturday) are $70. We accept cash, debit, VISA and MasterCard. The Festival is a rain or shine event. All ticket sales are final. The Festival and venue owner request that you depart NO LATER than Noon on Sunday, August 15. That gives us time to sweep up.

Wristbands and Laminates

Wristbands or laminates must be worn by all Festival attendees while on the Festival Grounds. Persons without a wristband or laminate will be asked to either pay at the gate or leave the property. No exceptions. We are not responsible for lost or stolen tickets, wristbands, or laminates.

Do Not Bring

There is no glass of any kind allowed on the property (please bring plastic containers only). No weapons of any kind are allowed on the Festival Grounds. Possession or use of tanks guarantees your immediate removal from property. No charcoal or open flame. Propane stoves (camp stove) are okay. No skateboards, bicycles, mopeds, scooters, or roller blades are permitted on the Festival Grounds.  No pets, except for Assist Animals, are permitted on the Festival Grounds.

Professional photography or audio or video recording equipment is forbidden unless arrangements were made in advance with the Festival Production Office. Many artists forbid their live performances to be recorded and the Festival will do its utmost to respect those wishes.

Security

The Festival reserves the right to search all vehicles, backpacks, and other storage items prior to your entrance to the Festival Grounds. Our Security team is experienced and will complete their work as quickly as possible, however your cooperation will make the process that much faster and less frustrating for all involved.

Trash and Recyclables

The Festival is responsible for returning the property to its pre-event state at the end of the weekend. That's a big job, and you can make it easier for us by throwing all trash and recyclables into the appropriate containers located across the property.

Recycling bins will be located across the property. Please use them. Cigarette butts are the hardest to clean up. Extinguish them fully and place them in a trash container. Please do not dispose of them on the ground.

Lost Items

The Festival Information Booth will maintain a Lost and Found all weekend. If you find someone's lost property on the grounds please drop it off to us.

First Aid and Emergency Medical Services

The Festival Information Booth will be staffed 24/7 throughout the weekend and have Basic First Aid services available. In the event of a more serious injury or illness, Emergency Medical Services are also available. Any Festival Staff member can assist you if needed.

Handicapped Access

We are happy to accommodate handicapped persons. Please contact the Festival Staff in advance from the Contact page with any specific requirements.

Day and Weekend Parking

There is ample parking for both weekend and day visitors. Parking is $5. Please try to car pool to reduce the number of vehicles on the property. Vehicles used for camping may not be moved once they are parked until the end of the Festival.

Leaving the Fairgrounds

Route 40 is a busy highway. Hitchhiking is illegal. If you need to leave the Fairgrounds, please do so in a vehicle. Vehicles parked outside of the Fairgrounds property are subject to towing by local authorities.

Ticket Giveaways

Staff, volunteers and employees of bands, their agents or management are disqualified from entering ticket giveaway contests.
